Frequently Asked Questions
Will it work with my opener?
Compatibility: LiftMaster Security+ 3.0 garage door openers only. Look for the learn button on your opener, under the light cover or on the back of the motor unit; its color tells you the security protocol. If in doubt, send us your opener model.
How do I program the wall control?
Press the learn button on your opener (or on a wall control with a learn button), then follow the pairing steps in the instructions. Programming takes about a minute.
What is Security+ 3.0?
LiftMaster’s newest encrypted radio protocol. This panel only pairs with Security+ 3.0 openers, such as current LiftMaster models with a Security+ 3.0 learn system. Older openers need a different control.
How is it shipped?
It ships by FedEx, or you can collect it from our Sacramento or Santa Clara store. See our shipping policy for current rates and dispatch times.
Why Choose the LiftMaster L956W Wireless Wall Control Panel
A wall control matched to your opener gives reliable, secure control of the door, and pairs in minutes through the opener’s learn button.
